Meet the Team Members
Jeri K. Millard, Founder
Mrs. Millard received her M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction with certifications in Educational Diagnostics and Language & Learning Disabilities in 1985 from Texas A & M University Corpus Christi. She earned dual B.S degrees in 1978 in Elementary Education and Speech & Hearing Therapy from Texas A & M University Kingsville.
Mrs. Millard has worked in a variety of settings and performed an array of duties in her 40 years of dedication to serving students with special needs. She has enjoyed employment as a Speech Pathologist, Child Find Specialist, In-Home Resource Teacher, and Educational Diagnostician. She has vast experience working with diverse populations, including those with autism, developmental disorders, mental handicaps, dyslexic, learning disabled, sensory impairments, Asperger Syndrome, gifted, deaf/hard of hearing, and speech/language impairments.
She is very active as a volunteer in her community and won the Times- Union's EVE Award 2011 for Volunteerism, having served on boards for the American Cancer Society and US...A Women & Girls Health Initiative at the University of North Florida. She is also the Founder & CEO of a non-profit 501c3 organization, In the Pink...a boutique for women living with cancer, with three locations in Florida. Mrs. Millard is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, Learning Disabilities Association of America, and International Dyslexia Association.
Kathleen Lever, Licensed School Psychologist
Ms. Lever has been with RDS since 2003, serving as a part-time Licensed School Psychologist. Her empathy, ability to work with familes, and professionalism makes her an integral part of the team. When not at work with RDS, she is employed full-time in the same capacity by Duval County Public Schools and tutors privately.
